Most bridal shops buy from designers, and the buyer, the stylist, and the owner are all different people. At J. Major's, that's all me. I'm the buyer, the designer, the owner and one of the stylists on the floor.
I'm in this boutique every single day. I style appointments, I listen, and I hear what Charlotte brides are dreaming of, and sometimes, what they can't quite find anywhere else. It's where my designs come from. We're one shop, one city, and every collection I work on is shaped by real conversations with real brides, right here in this bridal shop.
When you come in, you're getting to work with the person who heard what brides like you wanted, and then went and made it.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Before you arrive, you'll answer a few quick questions about your style, your wedding, and what you're dreaming of. Your stylist uses that to curate a selection before you walk in, so your appointment feels personal from the first moment.
Plan for about 80 minutes. It's private, unhurried, and just for you and your people. Your stylist will guide you through the fitting, help you read what you're feeling in each dress, and give you honest, caring guidance the whole way.
Most brides leave knowing. Some say yes that same day. Either way, there's no pressure, just the right dress, found the right way.
